Jessie and Matt’s wedding was both English and French. It was both organic and engineered. Traditional and unconventional. Simply put it was a unique beach affair which they shared with close family and friends, and the general public enjoying the hot and sunny summer afternoon. Matt got custom-made New Balance sneakers and his jacket was lined with the pattern of their wedding bands, while Jessie’s absolutely perfect dress practically fell into her lap. Their wedding was an intimate, unique, and beautiful event, as family and friends stood around the two who recited their vows under the direction of Matt’s father.

Now, separated by oceans, the two have the memories of the one day they shared together on the Kincardine beach to keep them warm until they are on the same soil again.

Congratulations Jessie and Matt!

I couldn’t have said it better myself: As two families are becoming one choose a seat, not a side.

Sam and Trevor are so in love. I heard it in the fluttering of Sam’s voice as she said, “I’m about to marry my best friend!” And I saw it in the tears Trevor couldn’t fight back as Sam took her first steps down the aisle. There was so much joy in the air the day they got married that it was near impossible to discern who was a part of whose family. Everyone was so loving and caring that the lines between Sam and Trevor’s respective families were blurred, and in fact friends were as close as conjoined twins. That their love is so stable and overwhelming is a blessing, but that their network of family and friends is so diverse, yet intertwined and interconnected is an indication to me that Sam and Trevor will enjoy a very happy and long life together.

Congratulations!

It is no mystery why Jenna and Jérémie fell in love. He’s a sweet and smart guy willing to brave the cold Kingston winter to trek across the city to see her just for an hour; she is a smart and dedicated woman whose baking unites communities! That their values are entirely in sync, that they can’t look at each other without smiling, that one can practically see the butterflies pounding in their chests at the very idea of spending the rest of their lives together is just icing on the cake (a very tasty cake). They may not be fortunate enough to always be in the same city, but they are so fortunate to have found each other, so young, and yet so prepared for whatever the future brings their way!

Lindsay and Colin have been together for 10 years! After four degrees, hundreds of early-morning dance parties, a ton of hockey games, and lots of loving reminders from Colin’s new mother-in-law, the two finally tied the knot on a warm and breezy afternoon among close family and friends. Lindsay couldn’t stop smiling while she counted down the minutes until she was married (and then counted up the minutes she had been married). Colin was his normal jolly, and laid-back self, entirely enthralled by his beautiful bride.

Despite some light rain, the day turned out perfectly, and I was honoured to be a part of your wedding day. Congratulations Lindsay and Colin!

It’s been a long time coming. Jenna and Adam have known each other since elementary school where she was a smart little girl and he was a shy little red head. Today he makes a point to remind her of just how brilliant she is, and she brings out the widest smiles in him. They are a gorgeous, unique, and straight-up cool couple, and I am so proud to have been a part of their country wedding.

Congratulations Jenna and Adam! Your future is bright. I see your lives filled with love, compassion, and friendship. I can see how happy you are to start this next chapter, and I’m excited to see where your path leads.

I hope you love your photos as much as I loved capturing them!
